Fix the angle, then move the robot: the speed re-solves to the centre of the window wherever a shot exists.

0.47 = smooth sphere. Raise it if your ball is scuffed.
How square a ball must arrive to count as going in rather than skimming the lip. An assumption, not a rule — and the fixed-angle answer moves a lot with it.
Used by the field map: speeds above this are treated as unreachable.

Angle × height optimizer

Tries every hood angle and release height in the ranges below from every floor spot in the zone, letting exit speed float. Each tile is one angle–height pair. Click a tile to load it into the sim.

minmaxstep
A spot only counts if the band of exit speeds that score there is at least this wide — roughly how much shot-to-shot speed scatter your launcher has. Drag, entry cone and launcher ceiling come from the Model controls on the left. Heights stop at 29 in (R105).

0 → — Best pair Best height for the whole range Current shot
Best angle + height — Run the optimizer to fill this in.
Best height for the whole range — The height whose worst angle in the range is still strongest — the pick if you cannot hold the hood to one angle.

Solution envelope

Every angle and speed that scores from this exact spot. The wider the band, the more launcher error the shot forgives.

Where a shot exists

Each tile is a floor position. Colour is the width of the usable speed window — brighter means more forgiving.

0 → speed window (ft/s) → — No solution

Best angle for a fixed shooter

If the hood never moves and only the exit speed changes, this is how much of the reachable floor each angle can score from with a speed window at least 1 ft/s wide — a shot nobody can hold to is not coverage. Steep angles reach further but leave less margin.
